Thank you to all of you who sent email to make sure my family and I are all fine in Atlanta, GA.
Indeed, the city took quite a hit from tornadoes and bad storms over the weekend.
I'm happy to share that all is fine. Home, business, family, and all creatures with paws are just fine and in one piece.
I've actually been traveling the past several days and missed all the action.
I've been on the most incredible ski trip of my life. I've been in Sun Valley, Idaho hanging out with an awesome group young disabled veterans. Each one was wounded in Iraq or Afghanistan.
The guys were the guests of honor of Sun Valley Adaptive Sports. That's an incredible organization that helps the vets regain their spirit and self-confidence through sport. No matter what body part any of these guys is missing or no longer works, the SVAS folks have a piece of equipment to get them flying down the slopes. What an adventure and honor to get to ski alongside these true American heroes.
I've covered war and certainly have been on my share of military bases over my news career, but I've never been able to have the luxury of just getting to spend time with and getting to know awesome young men like these over a 6-day period.
Of course, have camera/will travel and I look forward to getting the story up for you later this week.
