I'm very much enjoying the two new allegedly squirrel-proof bird feeders I received for my birthday.
So far, I'm getting some pretty good business. I've been able to identify cardinals, a blue jay, a crow, and two different kinds of woodpeckers, not to mention all the small songbirds I yet to figure out.
Given that I'm new to this bird business, I'm trying to gauge how fast the bird seed levels go down.
Yesterday, it seemed to me that it dropped the most it has in this first week.
"Makes sense," was honestly my first thought. "It's Saturday. The birds don't have to go to work."
Like I fessed up at the top. Cuckoo. I think it might be time for a day off.
